Schultz\ufeff was caught and punished by the umpire after he retaliated against Carlton's Blake Acres before the ball was thrown back into play.<\/p>\n

He struck Acres in the back on the neck with his hand, causing the umpire to pay a free kick against Schultz.<\/p>\n

The act put a dampener on the Pies mighty six-point win over the Blues.\ufeff<\/p>\n

"Did he not see the umpire there?," Melbourne great Garry Lyon asked on Fox Footy post-game.<\/p>\n

"Not that we encourage this at all, but the guy in the yellow \u2013 that's the umpire."<\/p>\n

It was an act in response to Acres pushing him as they jogged back into play.\ufeff<\/p>\n

The bump could likely be graded as intentional and low impact, which could see Schultz sidelined for a week.<\/p>\n

He is at risk of missing the Pies clash against \ufeffWest Coast at Marvel Stadium on Sunday.<\/p>\n

The 26-year-old, who was traded to the Pies from Fremantle in the off-season, has been finding his feet in the first few rounds, kicking nine goals from eight games.<\/p>\n
