South Sydney<\/a> has been dealt some more bad news with Souths star\ufeff Cameron Murray set to miss up to eight weeks with a hip flexor injury.<\/p>\n

It's yet another injury for a struggling Souths team,<\/a> who's languishing at the bottom of the ladder with \ufeffjust a solitary win this year after coach Jason Demetriou was sacked earlier this week.<\/p>\n

The injury is also bad timing for new Blues coach Michael Maguire, who will name his team in three weeks, with Murray deemed a certain selection for game one of the State of Origin series, which starts on June 5.<\/p>\n

It's understood the injury will keep Murray out of the majority of the series, with a possibility of being available for game three.\ufeff<\/p>\n

The news couldn't come at a worse time for Souths, with\ufeff fullback Jye Gray and halfback Dean Hawkins already facing an extended time out with injuries.<\/p>\n

The club may be forced to blood some youngsters in the coming weeks with the club already missing\ufeff Campbell Graham, Alex Johnston, Tyrone Munro, Lachlan Ilias and Junior Tatola through injury.<\/p>\n
