E\ufeffssendon<\/a> ruckman Sam Draper has landed in hot water after his comments surrounding Western Bulldogs<\/a> coach Luke Beveridge<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Draper spoke on the 200+<\/em> podcast, hinting that if Beveridge was to stay on as Bulldogs' coach beyond next season, some of his players would seek to be traded out of Whitten Oval.<\/p>\n

The comments have since been deleted, but Draper has still been reprimanded.<\/p>\n

"I've got a big call about the Doggies," Draper said on the 200+<\/em> podcast.<\/p>\n

"If Bevo's (Beveridge) still there, there'll be some players requesting trades."<\/p>\n

He suspected that Bailey Dale and Jack Macrae, as well as Caleb Daniel, could be out the door\ufeff when he was asked on the podcast.<\/p>\n

Daniel has been out of favour in 2024 with Beveridge<\/a>, either starting or finishing as the substitute in four out of four matches, before he was axed ahead of round five.<\/p>\n

He has not been picked since.\ufeff<\/p>\n

Essendon only became aware of Draper's comments late on Tuesday night, moving quickly to condemn his words.<\/p>\n

The club also reminded him what the Bombers stand for and how important humility is to the club values.<\/p>\n

The Bulldogs were also angered by Draper's comments, with Essendon officials \ufeffworking to apologise.<\/p>\n
