NBA<\/a> legend LeBron James<\/a> has given a simple answer in response to speculation about his future in the league, with a huge offer still on the table. <\/p>\n

After the Lakers<\/a> were eliminated by the Denver Nuggets from the playoffs on Tuesday, questions about the 39-year-old's future immediately began to rise.<\/p>\n

Speaking during the post-game press conference, James revealed he remains undecided about what his future in Los Angeles – and the sport – looks like. <\/p>\n

"\ufeffI don't have an answer … to be honest, I haven't given it much thought," he said.<\/p>\n

"We'll cross that when we need to."<\/p>\n

James collected a total of 30 points, 11 assists, 9 rebound and 4 steals to round his 21st season in the game.<\/p>\n

The four-time NBA champion will likely not be left on the market if he is to return, with his current team the Lakers \ufeffreportedly willing to offer him a three-year deal worth over $253 million dollars (AUD).<\/p>\n

He is currently the second-highest-paid NBA athlete in the 2023 competition, signing a four-year deal worth $238 million (AUD) in 2019.<\/p>\n

The star has the opportunity to become a free agent at the end of the 2023-24 competition calendar instead of opting into the final year of his current contract with the Lakers.\ufeff<\/p>\n

James has until June 29 to make that decision.<\/p>\n

Teammate Anthony Davis told ESPN that he will provide James with the space he needs to make the correct decision on his future.<\/p>\n

"\ufeffI mean, he has been in this position numerous times in his career, where he had to make a decision ultimately for himself and his family," Davis said.<\/p>\n

"I'll be right there supporting whatever he decides to do… It's still fresh. I mean, I'm pretty sure it's not even on his mind right now.<\/p>\n

"But I'm pretty sure he'll come talk to me, tell me what's going on before he becomes public with the situation, just to keep me in the loop."<\/p>\n

"Obviously, it's been a great five seasons with him," he continued.<\/p>\n

"If he does decide to come back, obviously this isn't what we want to be left at, losing in the first round. If he does, obviously our goal is to come back and be a championship contender, stay healthy and give Laker Nation what they deserve.<\/p>\n

"But he has a decision to make, and when that time comes, he'll inform me and inform you guys."<\/p>\n

LeBron's son, Bronny James\ufeff, is set to earn his place in the NBA in the upcoming NBA draft, scheduled to take place on June 26-27th.<\/p>\n

\ufeffThe 39-year-old has long expressed his desire to play with his son at some point during his NBA career, leaving many to speculate he will stay on for one more season.<\/p>\n

"Either in the same uniform or a matchup against him," James told ESPN during an interview in 2022.<\/p>\n
