It's advantage Real Madrid<\/a> after coming away from the first leg of their UEFA Champions League<\/a> semi-final against Bayern Munich<\/a> in Germany with a 2-2 draw.\ufeff<\/p>\n

Bayern Munich will have to win away from home on May 9 at Santiago Bernabeu if they are to seal a final berth against either Paris Saint-Germain or Borussia Dortmund.<\/p>\n

Real Madrid led early in the first half with a goal courtesy of Vin\u00edcius J\u00fanior in the 24th minute.<\/p>\n

In a matter of seconds, Toni Kroos fired the ball from just over the halfway line, through a gap to the fringe of the box for Vinicius Junior to strike with very little defence to stop him.<\/p>\n

The visitors held a 1-0 lead into the half-time break but back-to-back goals in a matter of minutes gave Bayern Munich the lead.<\/p>\n

The first of those goals came in the 53rd minute when Leroy Sane scored a scintillating solo effort, running from the right wing before finding the smallest hole to fire the ball in behind the goalkeeper.<\/p>\n

In the 56th minute, Real Madrid gave away a penalty in the box, giving Harry Kane a chance to seal a 2-1 lead.<\/p>\n

That continued his 100 per cent success rate of penalty kicks by the England international with six from six for Bayern Munich.<\/p>\n

Bayern Munich looked to have proceedings under control until the 82nd minute when Kim Min-jae fouled Rodrygo.<\/p>\n

Minjae and Kane were among the players to complain but the referee stood firm, pointing to the goal for the penalty.<\/p>\n

"There's the arm across him (Rodrigo). There's no doubt about, that's a foul," said one commentator on Stan Sport's coverage.<\/p>\n

"He can argue as much as he wants but that's a poor bit of play from Kim. He's not had a good evening so far. First of all with his arm, then his leg, one hundred per cent a penalty."<\/p>\n

The match-defining penalty drew the ire of Stan Sport commentator Craig Foster, who shredded the needless play.<\/p>\n

"\ufeffFor Kim, look, that's just horrendous defending in the box," said the Australian international of 29 caps.<\/p>\n

"You've been beaten, you're on the wrong side, there's no way you're getting the ball, and he makes the decision to make a challenge, which, did he need to? Well, I think Rodrygo is going to get a shot away but it looked as though Dayot (Upamecano) was going to get a foot in anyway. He's just in the wrong position and Vini Junior has out-smarted him a number of times."<\/p>\n

Vinicius Junior slotted the penalty in the 83rd minute and the scores were level again.<\/p>\n

That's the way it stayed. Bayern Munich threatened to score again, but Sane's last-ditch effort came to nothing in the final moments of the match as his shot at goal soared over the top and into the crowd.<\/p>\n

Stan Sport reporter and German football expert Archie Rhind-Tutt said Bayern Munich will be happy with the result despite having led.<\/p>\n

"Given how it was looking after the first half, I think they'll be very comfortable with this," he explained.<\/p>\n

"It took Leon Goretzka going off and Raphael Guerreiro coming on at half-time for it to be really changed, and that was the change that really helped spark everything for Bayern.<\/p>\n

"I was so impressed with the thrust they had at the start of that second half," he added.<\/p>\n

"I think Thomas Tuchel and Carlo Ancelotti \u2013 both coaches will be pretty pleased with the way they were both able to impact this game.<\/p>\n

"I have to say as well, Vini Junior and Jamal Musiala, seeing both of them light up a football pitch, Mama Mia! Both of them could nutmeg a mermaid I'm pretty sure. It is insane how good they are in tight spaces.\u00a0<\/p>\n

"Watching Vini Junior particularly, the way he has this confidence that every time I see him go through, I look at him and I think he thinks he's going to score every time."<\/p>\n
