Melbourne<\/a> midfielder C\ufeffhristian Petracca<\/a> is ready to shake off any unwanted attention from Geelong<\/a> players ahead of their blockbuster clash at the MCG on Saturday night.<\/p>\n

Petracca is "expecting" to be tagged through the middle, but is ready for the challenge as they look to knock the Cats off the top of the table.<\/p>\n

Geelong will be putting extra effort into their midfield, considering they were smashed around the ball by Carlton in round seven, despite taking a 13-point win.\ufeff<\/p>\n

Petracca knows the spotlight will land on him.\ufeff<\/p>\n

"It's something I'm expecting," Petracca said on Monday.<\/p>\n

\"Petracca<\/p>\n

"It's something I will plan for and do some research, but I also have to fight for it.<\/p>\n

"I can't just (accept) I'm going to get tagged, I also need to do a better job of being aggressive and still playing my game, back myself in."<\/p>\n

But if he does get that dreaded tag on Saturday night\ufeff, he knows he can trust his fellow midfielders to step up, namely Clayton Oliver.<\/p>\n

"For me, it's about being as selfless as possible, If they're (opposition) going to me, it allows other players to go through the midfield and get the ball," he said.<\/p>\n

But it's not just Petracca who will feel the heat from the Cats.<\/p>\n

Demons defenders Jake Lever and Steven May will be tasked with stopping the Cats' twin towers up forward, Jeremy Cameron and Tom Hawkins.<\/p>\n

Cameron kicked five in Geelong's win over Carlton, while Hawkins has been utilised in a new role in order to support the small Cats forwards.\ufeff<\/p>\n

"They're both amazing players. Jeremy Cameron kicked five on the weekend and Hawk has been incredible his whole career," Petracca said.<\/p>\n

"It's going to be an exciting battle, which I'll love to see from the midfield."<\/p>\n
