UPDATED:<\/strong> \ufeffM\ufeffark Geyer<\/a> has taken aim at the Bunker after the Wests Tigers<\/a> were dudded for a second-straight week by a "howler" against the Broncos – but the decision has since been defended by NRL boss Graham Annesley<\/a>.<\/p>\n

After the dubious decision not to sin-bin Brad Schneider<\/a> at a crucial period in round seven, the Tigers were again on the wrong end of a controversial call in their 34-10 defeat at the hands of Brisbane on Saturday night.<\/p>\n

Api Koroisau<\/a> looked to have dived over from close range while his side were down to 12 men, which would have put them within four points of the Broncos.<\/p>\n

However, following a lengthy Bunker review, the try was taken off the hooker after his hand briefly came away from the ball in an attempt to plant it down.<\/p>\n

Speaking on Triple M's Mick & MG in the Morning<\/em>, the rugby league great was up in arms over the decision as fans and experts across the game were left "outraged" by the call.<\/p>\n

"Fair to say our boys [on commentary] were outraged – as we all are," Geyer said.<\/p>\n

"It was a crucial time, they were down 10-0 and with 12 men. Tigers were hanging in there and that's the second week in a row they have been on the back of a howler.<\/p>\n

"I hope today we don't see Graham Annesley come out in his weekly press conference and say that should have been a try. It's robbed the Tigers twice in two weeks.<\/p>\n

"The Bunker has to have a look at these things in actual time. They are looking to take something away from you that shouldn't be taken away.<\/p>\n

"Let's hope it doesn't cost a major team a major game down the track \u2026 We don't want this to happen."\u00a0<\/p>\n

NRL head of football Annesley fronted media on Monday afternoon to give his weekly address, where the Koroisau decision was a hot topic. \ufeff<\/p>\n

While he sympathised with frustrated fans, Annesley acknowledged the black and white nature of the rule and believes the Bunker got the decision correct.<\/p>\n

"Unfortunately, that's not the world we live in at the moment. The world we live in does get examined microscopically. There is a relatively minor dispossession of the ball, but there is one \u2026 He doesn't re-grip the ball before it hits the ground.<\/p>\n

"Under the strict interpretation of the rule, I can understand how the Bunker came up with that decision – but I can also completely understand those that are saying if that's the rule, then the rule should be reconsidered.<\/p>\n

"The Bunker operated within the existing rule. I understand both sides of the argument."<\/p>\n
