The mannequin, named Georgina, has been an iconic part of the circuit for years until it inexplicably fell midway through this year's IndyCar race.<\/p>\n

"It's not a real person, we should point that out right away," said former IndyCar driver Townsend Bell on Stan Sport's coverage.<\/p>\n
"This is part of the eccentric art that populates Barber Motorsports Park."\u00a0<\/p>\n
Commentators were initially left aghast but couldn't help but laugh at the situation.<\/p>\n
"Put this in the list of things you don't see at a race track," said lead commentator Leigh Diffey.\u00a0<\/p>\n

It's Mr Barber having a laugh. That's his sense of humour.<\/p>\n "I'm not sure Georgina was ever meant to come down from the overpass."<\/p>\n Initially, the mannequin fell and was undamaged but was struck by one car, destroying one of her hands.<\/p>\n "I don't know what else you can do at this point but laugh at what's happening," said one-time Indianapolis 500 pole position winner James Hinchcliffe.<\/p>\n "It's been a fixture of the track since we first started coming here.
