J\ufeffosh Schuster<\/a> could be paid out up to $1 million by the Sea Eagles<\/a>, as the club prepares to part ways with the troubled utility.<\/p>\n

The 22-year-old has likely played his last game for Manly, with concerns over his fitness leading to an early exit and the end of his tenure with the club.<\/p>\n

Schuster hasn't played NRL this year and with plenty of time left on his big-money deal, Manly have decided to part ways with the Samoan international.<\/p>\n

While some reports had indicated Schuster would receive an estimated $600,000 as part of his departure<\/a>, Nine reporter Danny Weidler has revealed a much higher figure.<\/p>\n

"Josh Schuster is getting close to a deal to leave Manly and negotiating his exit and terminating the contract," he said on Nine's 100% Footy.<\/p>\n

"There has been a lot of talk about a $600,000 payout to Josh Schuster – but I can tell you, it's actually closer to $1 million. Manly are going to have to fork out $1 million now to say goodbye to Josh Schuster and that will be spread over their salary cap.<\/p>\n

"It will be probably this year's pay and then $200,000 a year after that, so it adds up to close to a million bucks. It is a mutual agreement \u2026 this is a massive payout."<\/p>\n

With just 50 matches to his name in the top grade, Schuster still has plenty of untapped potential – but at this stage, no rival clubs have expressed interest in signing him for 2025 and beyond.<\/p>\n

Schuster has previously been touted as a five-eighth, but Manly moved him between the back-row and lock-forward roles at times during his stint. \ufeff<\/p>\n
