Collingwood<\/a> coach Craig McRae<\/a> says two words written on his whiteboard were the catalyst for the a huge comeback win over Port Adelaide<\/a> on Saturday.<\/p>\n

\ufeffThe Pies came from 31 points down to take a 123-81 win at the MCG.<\/p>\n

\ufeffIt was their third victory on the trot after a horror 0-3 start as reigning premiers.<\/p>\n

His two words were simple but impactful.<\/p>\n

"I put on the board before the game 'style points?' with a question mark," McRae said.<\/p>\n

The 2023 premiership coach declared he urged his team to ignore the outside noise\ufeff and the statistics that he believes don't matter internally.<\/p>\n

"I think that the broader footy world is (giving) critiques. 'You could be winning by more. You should be doing this better. And you are not quite this. And you are 17th (in the AFL) at this'," he said.<\/p>\n

"But, really, it doesn't matter, because we're in the process of qualifying. There's only four points on offer today. Not 'style points'.<\/p>\n

"So, we just had to get the job done and I don't care what it looks like from here on to wherever."<\/p>\n

And get the job done they did.<\/p>\n

After the Power dominated the first term, piling on six goals to three, the pies found another gear, courtesy of Pat Lipinski's four majors, as well as Jordan De Goey's 27 disposals.<\/p>\n

The Power managed just four goals after halftime.\ufeff<\/p>\n

The job is far from over yet for last year's premiers, however.<\/p>\n

From here, the Magpies run will continue to throw up its challenges.<\/p>\n

They'll face Essendon before a massive showdown with rivals Carlton\ufeff.<\/p>\n

Collingwood then host West Coast, before Adelaide and a trip west to face Fremantle.<\/p>\n

McRae says his side has already mapped out what they need to do mathematically to reach September.\ufeff<\/p>\n

"We're just in the process of trying to get 14 wins, because that's the number we think will make the finals," he said.<\/p>\n

"That's all that matters right now."<\/p>\n

Collingwood face Essendon in their traditional ANZAC Day clash on Thursday at the MCG.<\/p>\n
