Roosters<\/a> captain J\ufeffames Tedesco<\/a> has been charged by the NRL<\/a> match review committee for tripping Ryan Papenhuyzen<\/a> during his side's loss to the Storm<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The fullback stuck his leg out and collected his opposing No.1 during the second half of the 18-12 loss at Allianz Stadium on Thursday night.<\/p>\n

Tedesco will be fined $750 if he takes the early guilty plea, but risks a $1000 fine if he opts to fight the charge at the judiciary and loses. \ufeff<\/p>\n

The 31-year-old pleaded with referee Ashley Klein after being placed on report, but the official explained the decision rather clearly.<\/p>\n

"Your leg came out, you have to have two hands on him," Klein said. <\/p>\n

Andrew Johns<\/a> questioned why Tedesco avoided further punishment on the night.<\/p>\n

"In the good old days, that was an automatic send-off," he said on the Nine broadcast.<\/p>\n

"Why isn't that a sin-bin? You were straight off [in previous years]."<\/p>\n

Jared Waerea-Hargreaves<\/a> was also cited by the MRC and was hit with a grade one dangerous contact charge for an incident with Christian Welch, but will escape suspension and cop a $1800 fine with an early plea.<\/p>\n

The 35-year-old was also penalised for a dangerous tackle in the final minute of the loss, but has escaped penalty from the judiciary for that incident. \ufeff<\/p>\n
