Trent Robinson<\/a> has declared his frustrations over a try from Melbourne<\/a>'s Eliesa Katoa, claiming, "The rules are really clear".<\/p>\n

The coach of the Tricolours team said that inconsistent enforcement of the disruptor rule during games has lost his team crucial points in matches since round two.<\/p>\n

However, the three-time premiership-winning coach refrained from attributing the Roosters<\/a> loss to the Melbourne Storm on Thursday night to errors and penalties.<\/p>\n

"It was really clear. The rules are really clear," Robinson told media.<\/p>\n

"They came out at the end of the year and if you lend weight to a tackler in a stationary or forward momentum, then it will either be stopped or if it's in a try-scoring [situation] it's a penalty. \ufeff<\/p>\n

"It's really simple. He runs in from a distance, lends weight, touches his player and Jenko then goes over and scores.<\/p>\n

"Did he lend weight to the player? Yes, he did. It's not that hard. It was really clear."<\/p>\n

Robinson also expressed his anger over Storm winger Xavier Coates' game-winning try, arguing that Connor Watson was taken out under the disruptor rule and should have received a penalty.<\/p>\n

"Connor Watson<\/a> was looking at the ball standing in the position. He didn't move, he didn't escort. Reimis (Smith) can go for the ball that's fine, but he goes over the back of him, stops the ball and pushes Joey Manu in the back because he lost balance," he said.<\/p>\n

"But if you're not going for the ball you can't contact our player without going for the contest\u2026 That's a disruptor.<\/p>\n

"It's really simple the rules, both of them were really clear. There have been too many of those decisions."<\/p>\n

Roosters skipper James Tedesco said he was disappointed in the side's performance against the Storm, however, also believes that the referee Ashley Klein's decision on the Katoa try will be overruled come Monday.<\/p>\n

"\ufeffI just said we've had plenty of those, like Robbo said, since round two and they'll probably come back on Monday and say it should've been a penalty. He said it didn't effective the momentum," Tedesco said about his on-field conversation with Klein.<\/p>\n

Interrupting the captain, Robinson said: "Did he lend weight? Yes, he did. It should've been a no-try. It's not that difficult but they are making it really difficult at the moment".<\/p>\n

"It wasn't an accident, a guy purposely went in, pushed, realised what he was doing and pulled out. That's been in the rules for a while.<\/p>\n

"…I've got in trouble but I've had three or four decisions from round two onwards, back to a try against Teddy on the disruptor. It hasn't been good enough.<\/p>\n
