Spanish broadcaster Movistar Plus+ apologised for an \u201cunfortunate\u201d comment about football star Lamine Yamal<\/a> that prompted a boycott by Barcelona<\/a> and Paris Saint-Germain<\/a> after their Champions League match.<\/p>\n

Players from both teams did not talk to reporters from the pay TV platform after Barcelona's 3-2 win at PSG on Thursday.<\/p>\n

The protest came after former Atletico Madrid player and assistant coach Germ\u00e1n \u201cMono\u201d Burgos said that Barcelona's Yamal could work \u201cat a traffic light\u201d if things didn't go well for him in football.<\/p>\n

The comments were made over images of the 16-year-old Yamal juggling a ball with his feet ahead of the match in Paris on Thursday.<\/p>\n

Burgos issued a statement apologising and saying he didn\u2019t intend to offend Yamal. He said he made a joke to praise the player\u2019s skills, and that the comment was not related to ethnicity or social class.<\/p>\n

Movistar said in a statement that it \u201ccondemns any type of discrimination and won't allow this type of comment\u201d by anyone. It said it will take measures to stop it happening again.<\/p>\n
