At the start of the season the Roosters<\/a> were the competition favourites.<\/p>\n

Six weeks in and they're in danger of becoming a punchline, with \ufeffAndrew Johns<\/a> making light of Roosters legend Brad Fittler<\/a> jumping off the bandwagon of the eastern suburbs club.<\/p>\n

Fittler's tip when the Roosters are playing poorly has become a running joke for Johns, with the club's 2002 premiership winning captain \ufeffalmost always sticking loyal before being hit with a barb about his association with 'Uncle Nick' Politis, the Bondi club's powerful chairman.<\/p>\n

However, such is the state of the injury riddled R\ufeffoosters outfit after their shock loss to the Bulldogs<\/a>, even Fittler has abandoned the club for their round six clash with the Knights.<\/p>\n

\"Brad<\/p>\n

"You know who didn't get much praise last week, were the Knights forwards," Fittler told Johns on Wide World of Sports' Freddy and the Eighth's Tips<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n

"They were good – the Saifiti boys, Leo Thompson, they were good, they were very good. So I think the Roosters are going to do it tough up there, I'm going to go the Knights."<\/p>\n

As Fittler delivered his tip, it was met with a cheeky grin from Johns, who then made an imaginary phone call to \ufeffPolitis.<\/p>\n

"Uncle Nick, are you hearing what Brad's saying," Johns asked.<\/p>\n

Fittler's tip puts him in the corner of the heavy favourites after Newcastle's impressive win over the Dragons in driving rain last Friday, in contrast to the Roosters' shocker, which included the send-off and subsequent suspension to gun winger Dominic Young, the controversial sin binning of Victor Radley and a first half that saw Bulldogs backrower Viliame Kikau run riot.<\/p>\n

The disastrous result for the Roosters was compounded by concussions that have sidelined star fullback James Tedesco \ufeffand halfback Sam Walker, leaving their spine for Thursday night's clash ravaged.<\/p>\n

Class centre Joey Manu will deputise for Tedesco at fullback, while former Knight Connor \ufeffWatson comes into the halves to partner Luke Keary against a Newcastle side that is brimming with confidence and close to full strength.<\/p>\n
