The Roosters<\/a> have moved to keep State of Origin<\/a> star Lindsay Collins out of the hands of rival NRL<\/a> clubs.<\/p>\n

\ufeffHe was already contracted to the eastern suburbs club until the end of 2026, but on Wednesday the Chooks announced a two-year extension for the prop.<\/p>\n

It means the Queensland front-rower will remain in Bondi until at least the end of 2028, when he will be 31 years old.\ufeff<\/p>\n

"I consider myself very fortunate to put on the Sydney Roosters jersey and to represent this great club," Collins said.<\/p>\n

"We've got a great crew here and I love coming to work every day, so to know that I will be a Rooster for at least the next four years is something I'm very proud of."<\/p>\n

Collins made his NRL debut for the Roosters in 2017 and has amassed 94 games for the Tricolours to date.<\/p>\n

He forced his way into Queensland's Origin team in 2020 and then made his Kangaroos debut at the 2022 World Cup.<\/p>\n

He's now a staple of both representative sides.\ufeff<\/p>\n

"Lindsay has been in our system for a number of years now and I've loved watching his progression from a young forward into one of the senior voices of our side," Roosters coach Trent Robinson said.<\/p>\n

"His work ethic and his dedication to his craft and his teammates is second to none, and I have no doubt that he will continue to make a significant impact on and off the field in the coming years."<\/p>\n
