Tyson Pedro<\/a> and Kris Terzievski<\/a> have attached significant risk to their respective careers taking each other on in the ring, according to boxing legend Danny Green<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The pair will fight in the Stan exclusive pay-per-view fight night Uncaged<\/a> on June 12 in Sydney's Hordern Pavilion.<\/p>\n

Pedro has a chance to kickstart his boxing career fresh out of a storied MMA career after recently retiring from the UFC<\/a>.<\/p>\n

A win would catapult him into the spotlight of world boxing with a WBC international bridgerweight belt on the line.<\/p>\n

Equally, his boxing career could be brought to a sudden halt if he's stopped by Terzievski in his first fight.<\/p>\n

For Terzievski, losing to an MMA fighter with a 0-0 record would do little for his legacy.<\/p>\n

"It's a huge risk for Kris," Green told Wide World of Sports.<\/p>\n

"If he loses, as Tyson said, he loses to a zero-and-zero guy. It's a big risk, it's a big punt.\u00a0 It's huge for both of them. Equal risk, there's the same at stake for both fighters."<\/p>\n

Terzievski is well aware of what's at stake for him and Pedro.<\/p>\n

"We're out here to kill each other's dreams," said Terzievski.<\/p>\n

"He's trying to achieve something in a brand new sport and I wanna crush that.<\/p>\n

"Obviously there's no hard feelings. I've got no bad feelings towards Ty at all, it's all respect, but this is my future.\u00a0<\/p>\n

"He was talking about he's got a beautiful daughter. I've got a young son now. I've got a legacy of my own that I want to try and create.<\/p>\n

"It's just business. There's nothing personal."<\/p>\n

Green is excited about the long-term prospects of Pedro as a boxer.<\/p>\n

The former IBO cruiserweight and WBC interim super-middleweight title holder said he was surprised by Pedro's decision to take on Terzievski as his first opponent in professional boxing.<\/p>\n

"I see a guy who brings excitement for what he does in the ring and I don't think this could be any more challenging and any bigger a task that he set himself," said Green.<\/p>\n

"He wants this fight, he chose (Kris) Terzievski, said 'I want him'. I said, 'Mate, it's very difficult fight first up. No one will expect you to fight a guy like that in your first professional fight'. He goes, 'That's the fight I want. I want his ranking. I want the Australian heavyweight champion. I'm a bridgerweight. He's got the runs on the board. I beat this guy, people know who I am straight away'.\u00a0<\/p>\n

"He wants the respect of the boxing public straight away. That's what this guy brings. Excitement. Pedro has immense presence. They're not far off difference in size, but Pedro's got real presence and he's an imposing man.\u00a0<\/p>\n

"When he gets inside, he's very strong. He's got a lot of ability, mate, and his stand-up has always been very sound in the UFC. That's what he's kind of been regarded for as well. Terzievski, on the other hand, he's got extreme experience. He's a cool dude. He's a cagey guy. He's very, very skilful. He's unorthodox."<\/p>\n
