C\ufeffollingwood<\/a> teammates hold fears that veteran Scott Pendlebury<\/a> may have broken ribs after his side's five-point win over Hawthorn in Gather Round.<\/p>\n

The Pies managed to hold off the winless Hawks to take home their second victory of the season, after starting 0-3.<\/p>\n

It may have come at a cost however, with Pendlebury sent for scans after copping a knee to the back in a marking contest from Hawk Josh Weddle\ufeff in the second term on Sunday evening.<\/p>\n

Teammate Jack Crisp clarified Pendlebury's movements and next steps, after he was sent home on the first flight out of Adelaide, already back in Melbourne for further assessment.<\/p>\n

"He'll get some scans … and we'll find out what the go is probably in the next day or two," Crisp told media in Adelaide on Monday.<\/p>\n

"\ufeffHopefully he's alright.<\/p>\n

"Lucky we've got the bye, he'll have a good time to recover."<\/p>\n

Pendlebury's teammates stayed around in West Adelaide on Monday, as they began to dissect another heart-stopping victory.<\/p>\n

Crisp says it's just another four points added to their tally, leaving them 2-3 heading into their bye.<\/p>\n

"We've got a lot of experience in those tight games\ufeff, so we were able to put the game to bed in the end and come away with the four points.<\/p>\n

"We'll take the learnings from it \ufeffand focus on a few technical aspects and try and get better."<\/p>\n

There were also no concerns regarding former Pie Jack Ginnivan's antics during the match, despite his best attempts to annoy Collingwood's backline.<\/p>\n

"It's just how he likes to play the game. We play a bit of hard edge football as well," Crisp said.<\/p>\n

"It was all good fun, nothing but smiles at the end of the game."<\/p>\n

The Pies, alongside Sydney, are two of the final four sides to have a bye from the original teams who participated in the AFL's inaugural Opening Round\ufeff.<\/p>\n
