Zac Lomax<\/a> will reportedly sacrifice as much as $600,000 by leaving St George Illawarra<\/a> and joining Parramatta<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\ufeffThat's according to veteran journalist Neil Breen, who revealed the numbers of 2GB's Continuous Call Team<\/em> on Sunday.<\/p>\n

Lomax was last week granted permission to leave the Dragons at the end of this current season<\/a>, ditching his lucrative contract two years before it was due to expire.<\/p>\n

He had requested a release several times and eventually the Red V relented in letting him walk at the end of this year.<\/p>\n

The 24-year-old met with Parramatta immediately after last week's permission from the Dragons.<\/p>\n

Breen says while the Eels will table a three-year offer to Lomax this week, it will be significantly less lucrative than his Red V deal.<\/p>\n

Lomax is pocketing $800,000 from the Dragons this year, and that was reportedly set to rise to $850,000 next year and $875,000 in 2026.<\/p>\n

He would have been the most expensive winger-centre in the NRL.\ufeff<\/p>\n

"\ufeffThe problem for Zac Lomax is it will be a three-year offer (from the Eels), and each year will be about a $150,000 to $200,000 short of what he was going to get paid at the Dragons," Breen said.<\/p>\n

"That's the pay cut he's taking."\ufeff<\/p>\n

Part of St George Illawarra's stipulation in agreeing to Lomax's release is the Wollongong-based club wouldn't \ufeffpick up any of his salary next year.<\/p>\n

Last week Dragons coach Shane Flanagan fired up when being grilled on the Lomax release<\/a>, saying he was "sick of it".<\/p>\n

\ufeffThe star has been disgruntled since being shifted from centre to the wing by Flanagan this year.<\/p>\n
