The highly touted senior chose the Huskies over a plethora of schools, including Duke and North Carolina, which rounded out her top three.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">She showed her talent best against the top competition in high school. She was named\u00a0<\/span><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/usatodayhss.com\/lists\/2024-mcdonalds-all-american-girls-basketball-game-photos\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">McDonald&#8217;s MVP<\/span><\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0after posting a double-double with 11 points and 12 rebounds, and she one-upped that performance in the Chipotle Nationals as she recorded a\u00a0<\/span><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/usatodayhss.com\/lists\/2024-chipotle-nationals-day-1-highlights\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">remarkable\u00a0<\/span><\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">31 points, 19 rebounds, three assists, and five 3-pointers.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Strong was also a\u00a0<\/span><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/usatodayhss.com\/2024\/naismith-trophy-announces-all-american-boys-and-girls-basketball-selections\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Naismith All-American this year.<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">UConn has a very strong class of 2024 that is plenty good to help continue their long rein of excellence.
