T\ufeffhe Dolphins<\/a> and Wests Tigers<\/a> are counting the cost of a bruising clash after three head injury assessments and two players failed to return from injuries.<\/p>\n

Herbie Farnworth was the biggest concern for the Dolphins as he left the field late with what looked to be a pectoral issue as his side held on for a 26-16 win<\/a>. \ufeff<\/p>\n

Felise Kaufusi left the field after 25 minutes and was the first player who failed to return but certainly wasn't the last.<\/p>\n

\ufeffKaufusi beat four defenders from inside the Dolphins' half to break the line and set up Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow for a try.<\/p>\n

However, the second-rower dropped to the ground untouched and notably looked to be in agony as he passed the ball to his fullback.<\/p>\n

Kaufusi wasn't the only player to be ruled out with John Bateman and Samuela Fainu both failing HIAs for the Tigers.<\/p>\n

Dolphins prop Josh Kerr also had to undergo a test but passed his.<\/p>\n

Apisai Koroisau came into the game with what looked to be a hamstring injury, applying a thigh guard to himself pre-game.<\/p>\n

Speaking post-match, Marshall revealed that the Tigers' skipper was \ufeffclose to being rubbed out before kick off.<\/p>\n

"[Koroisau] puts his body on the line every week and gives everything, he could have taken the easy option and not played today," he tolf media.<\/p>\n

"He was very close, but he played for the boys."<\/p>\n

Farnworth's issue looked to be the most serious, as he grimaced on the ground after trying to tackle Alex Seyfarth when the Tigers forward scored in the 72nd minute.<\/p>\n

"This could be a devastating blow for the Dolphins … clutching at that right pec," Mick Ennis said on Fox League.<\/p>\n

Tom Flegler was also sighted on the sidelines late in the match with ice around his shoulder.<\/p>\n

Post-game, Flegler said it's likely he'll be going in for scans.<\/p>\n

"\ufeffIt's alright, obviously not ideal but at the moment we're just treating it as a stinger and probably go in for some scans early in the week," he said.<\/p>\n

Koroisau was also coy on his availability for round six post-match.<\/p>\n

"Went for a run and I felt something, but probably was just carrying on," he said of his injury.<\/p>\n

The Dolphins were first to score at Suncorp Stadium when Isaiya Katoa went over early.<\/p>\n

Kaufusi then set up Tabuai-Fidow as the Dolphins led 14-0 at half-time with Jamayne Isaako hitting two penalty goals.<\/p>\n

The Tigers came out of the sheds a different side \ufeffwhen Solomona Faataape scored a quick double to make it 14-10.<\/p>\n

Kodi Nikorima and Kenny Bromwich then extended the lead for the Dolphins before Seyfarth's try kept it interesting and led to Farnworth departing.<\/p>\n
