Y\ufeffoung Roosters<\/a> recruit Dominic Young<\/a> has been slapped with a ban after he was sent off for a high shot on Bulldogs<\/a> fullback Blake Taaffe on Friday night.<\/p>\n

Young will be wiped out for two weeks if he takes the early plea, or three weeks if he is found guilty at the panel.<\/p>\n

The tackle was graded high and careless.<\/p>\n

\ufeffThe winger ran in aggressively to Taaffe, hitting him square on the chin with the fullback immediately knocked out and dropping the ball.<\/p>\n

It's a brutal blow for the Roosters, who went down 30-26 to the Bulldogs after being left with just 11 men on the field in the dying minutes of the match.\ufeff<\/p>\n

Post-match, Roosters coach Trent Robinson declared if the shot warrants a send off, then the decision-making needs to be consistent. \ufeff<\/p>\n

"It's not good for Blake (Taaffe), you don't want to see that … (but) it wasn't a swinging arm, it was open handed, it was lower than shoulder height," he said in his post-match press conference.<\/p>\n

"If that's the standard, that's fine but that's a new one for me, I feel like that's lower than what's been sent off before. It just feels like we can set a new standard here again, that's how it feels."<\/p>\n

Pressed on whether he thought it was a sin bin, Robinson agreed before describing the referee's decision as "over the top".<\/p>\n

"Definitely a sin bin, Blake's got concussed from that but again I don't have \ufeffall the (previous) send offs in mind … we've had guys stay on the field, not even go for 10 for less and I feel like that was a bit over the top," he said.<\/p>\n
