Brisbane<\/a> is finally on the board after a 70-point drubbing of North Melbourne<\/a>, but one star has been put on an injury watch.<\/p>\n

2023 Brownlow medallist and Lions superstar Lachie Neale<\/a> was subbed off in the last quarter in their first win of the season\ufeff, with the club confirming it was a precautionary move after he rolled his ankle in round three against Collingwood.<\/p>\n

The Lions were dominant from the first minute and continued to steam roll the Roos after Neale was removed from play.\ufeff<\/p>\n

Despite fears that Neale had further injured his already sprained ankle, it was coach Chris Fagan who made the executive decision to rest the 30-year-old with the win all but secured in the final term.<\/p>\n

Neale played down the severity of the setback post match, despite being seen with ice strapped around his right ankle.<\/p>\n

"All good. A bit of a nasty sprain last week (against Collingwood)," Neale told Fox Footy post match.<\/p>\n

"It was a slow week for me to get to the line (to play against North) today."<\/p>\n

The dual Brownlow medallist said the move was in preparation for next week's blockbuster clash with Melbourne at the MCG.\ufeff<\/p>\n

"Sat the last quarter out basically, rest up for Thursday night against the Dees in a massive match up," he said.<\/p>\n

Despite only contributing for just over three quarters, Neale still managed to collect a huge 27 disposals and three tackles.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, it was the exact confidence boost that the Lions needed to finally re-rail their season, after an 0-3 start.<\/p>\n

Joe Daniher booted five majors, supported by Eric Hipwood with three.<\/p>\n
