Mitch Georgiades has been named to return for the Power<\/a> to play against the Bombers<\/a> in their Gather Round clash on Friday night, almost a year since rupturing his ACL.<\/p>\n

His highly anticipated comeback will also be his 50th game for Port Adelaide.<\/p>\n

Port Adelaide coach Ken Hinkley<\/a> said Georgiades was ready to return to playing, after struggling in the early days after his surgery.<\/p>\n

"It took him a little while to get going, but since then, it's been quite rapid," Hinkley said.<\/p>\n

The coach said Georgiades would be returning in a new role.<\/p>\n

"Mitch has pretty much been almost the goal square forward lead up at the ball, whereas now we think he's growing, and he's going to be able to play more of a half-forward flank," Hinkley said.<\/p>\n

Jason Horne-Francis<\/a> is set to resume his season on Friday after a two-week absence because of a hamstring injury.<\/p>\n

He will replace Ollie Wines, who the club says will be off for this week only after he also suffered a hamstring injury.<\/p>\n

"Honestly, if it was Sunday, I think he'd be playing," Hinkley said.<\/p>\n

"I know that sounds a bit ridiculous, but that's [a] fact."<\/p>\n

The Power will face the 'Essendon Edge' for the first time, with Hinkley confident in his team.\u00a0<\/p>\n

"We all expect our players to have great energy and effort to get after the opposition," he said.<\/p>\n

Essendon players arrived in Adelaide late on Thursday ahead of the match.<\/p>\n
