Cameron Munster<\/a> is still yet to be confirmed for a return to the Storm line-up for Thursday night's blockbuster against the Broncos<\/a>, but even if he's in the side Andrew Johns expects him to be \ufeff"severely underdone".<\/p>\n

Munster and his regular halves partner \ufeffJahrome Hughes have both been named to come back into the side for the AAMI Park clash but speaking on Wednesday, Storm coach Craig Bellamy<\/a> said the superstar five-eighth would have his fitness gauged again on game day before a final call was made.<\/p>\n

Johns, having also experienced a debilitating groin injury during his career, has spoken earlier in this season with concern for Munster who is yet to take the field this season after slipping in the shower on the eve of round one.<\/p>\n

The Eighth Immortal warned that if the Storm medical staff didn't get their treatment of the injury 100 per cent right, Munster risked being a shadow of his former self in 2024, with groin injuries a high risk of becoming chronic if a return is rushed.<\/p>\n

"There's a pretty good chance that he might line up," Bellamy said on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

"As I've said before, you know, the injury's been fine or seems to be fine, then all of a sudden it flares up again. So, you know, he's had a couple of the sessions this week that he's gone pretty well in. So, yeah, so hopefully he pulls up OK tomorrow after today's session and then we'll just we'll just go from there.\ufeff<\/p>\n

"Cameron's obviously, you know, a really experienced player too so you know we probably missed a little bit of that and we all know what he can do when he's playing his best. We're not going to expect miracles from him. He's missed a lot of time training and he's missed the trials and first four games of the season, so it'll take him a little bit of getting back into it, I'd imagine."<\/p>\n

Johns speculated on Wide World of Sports' Freddy and the Eighth's Tips<\/em><\/a> that even as Munster has returned to training he would have done "no high intensity" running, potentially leaving him exposed if the Broncos target him in the defensive line in a tactical effort to fatigue him.<\/p>\n

Yet even an underdone Munster returning to the side was enough for both Johns and Fittler to pick the Storm to win a tight clash, with the additions of Hughes and Christian Welch adding to the expectation that they'll be on top of their game at home.\ufeff<\/p>\n
