T\ufeffhe AFL<\/a> has handed a lifetime ban to a person who invaded the Adelaide Oval<\/a> during a game last month.<\/p>\n

The man illegally ran onto the field as the Crows<\/a> played the Cats<\/a> in round two.<\/p>\n

He has now been banished from all AFL and AFLW<\/a> games for life, although the punishment can be reviewed in five years' time.<\/p>\n

"Running onto the ground during a match is not only senseless, but it is unsafe and unlawful," AFL general counsel Stephen Meade said.<\/p>\n

"If you choose to do it, then you will not only be given a significant fine, but you will have deal with local authorities and ultimately lose the privilege of attending AFL matches.<\/p>\n

"The AFL will continue to work with venues across in the country to ensure that there is a strong and consistent deterrence to this unsafe behaviour at all AFL and AFLW venues."<\/p>\n

Security was criticised by some at the time for their slow reaction to the field invasion.<\/p>\n

Crows player Matt Crouch also copped some heat for grabbing the man, causing him to fall to the ground.\ufeff<\/p>\n
