Brisbane<\/a> is reportedly considering a media boycott after a story claimed a rift had developed within the playing group of the AFL<\/a> club.<\/p>\n

\ufeffLions footy boss Danny Daly fronted cameras on Monday to rubbish the reports<\/a> which relate to a trip to America by several players following last year's grand final.<\/p>\n

And the club may yet put an indefinite ban on outlets the Herald Sun and 3AW radio station, according to 9News reporter Tom Morris.<\/p>\n

3AW is owned by Nine, the publisher of this outlet.<\/p>\n

\ufeffMorris says the players and club management are "\ufeffangry" at the Herald Sun and 3AW for airing the reports on Thursday.<\/p>\n

The story claimed messages and photos shared between the players \ufeffon WhatsApp were accidentally uploaded to iCloud, and subsequently seen by one of their partners back in Australia.<\/p>\n

The messages and photos were supposedly then shared \ufeffwith other partners, reportedly causing some relationships to end.<\/p>\n

While the Lions didn't want to comment on the reports initially, Daly decided to nip it in the bud on Monday.\ufeff<\/p>\n

"As a football club we were initially reluctant to speak on this because as a club we don't really comment on the publicity of our players' personal lives and relationships," Daly said.<\/p>\n

"But now I feel the need to speak … following \ufeffpoor, insensitive and factually incorrect media reporting.<\/p>\n

\"Lions<\/p>\n

"I will again strongly say today there is no divide in our playing group.<\/p>\n

"Some of you people here today are around our footy club\ufeff enough, so I'd ask you the question, 'Have you seen anything that would suggest there is a divide amongst our playing group?'.<\/p>\n

"The trip's also not the reason why we are 0-3 at the minute."\ufeff<\/p>\n

Daly says he spoke to co-captains Lachie Neale and Harris Andrews over the weekend and was assured the story was incorrect.<\/p>\n
