The Canberra Raiders<\/a> are set to lodge an official complaint with \ufeffthe NRL over the conduct of Sharks<\/a> trainer Daniel Holdsworth.<\/p>\n

With seven minutes to go in Saturday's fixture between the sides, Raiders goalkicker Jamal Fogarty lined up a sideline conversion and missed with his side going on to lose 30-22<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Holdsworth was seen running in the vicinity of Fogarty as he lined up the kick, with 9news and Sydney Morning Herald reporter Michael Chammas revealing on Nine's 100% Footy<\/em> the Raiders will be making a call to head of football Graham Annesley.<\/p>\n

The incident is similar to Nathan Cleary's from 2022 when he missed a conversion after a Parramatta Eels trainer ran in front of the goalposts.<\/p>\n

The trainer was handed a $5000 fine by the NRL.<\/p>\n

Sharks legend Paul Gallen disputed the merit of a complaint. \ufeff<\/p>\n

"It wasn't in his line of sight, he wouldn't have even seen him," he said on 100% Footy<\/em>.<\/p>\n

"Daniel Holdsworth is \ufeffoff the field … and Fogarty is looking at nothing but the ball.<\/p>\n

"… He's not in the field of play, the other one (Cleary incident) he's in the field of play running straight across."<\/p>\n

League icon Phil Gould added the practice is common place in the sport considering players are taken off the field during the break in play. \ufeff<\/p>\n
