Warriors<\/a> coach Andrew Webster<\/a> has shut down any prospect of Roger Tuivasa-Sheck<\/a> staying at fullback after he starred in the side's win over Newcastle<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Tuivasa-Sheck had played in the position during a previous stint at the club\ufeff, before the arrival of Reece Walsh, and was only filling in against the Knights after injuries to Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad and Taine Tuaupiki.<\/p>\n

Nicoll-Klokstad was the No.1 last year and carved out one of the best seasons of his career.<\/p>\n

After the Warriors' victory, Webster was repeatedly asked about Tuivasa-Sheck's performance at fullback, and described the chatter as "good noise".<\/p>\n

"It's my favourite question, again, the Roger to fullback question," he laughed.<\/p>\n

"Roger's in our team, he's a gun and we love him, I was so proud of the way he handled tonight.<\/p>\n

"… The thing about it is it's good noise. Roger brings that because we all know what he's done in the game.<\/p>\n

"I laugh about it, I make jokes about it. I'm not sick of them, they can keep coming. Hopefully I can be as resilient as the boys were tonight with them. I'm giving you permission (to keep asking).<\/p>\n

"But I couldn't be clearer, because it's almost like people think I'm lying, (Charnze at fullback) is how we want to go. It's how Roger wants to go.<\/p>\n

"It's not like Roger is coming to me and saying, 'Boss, why aren't I playing fullback?'. He wants to win and wants to play his role.<\/p>\n

"The questions can keep coming, I get it, he's an elite player. But Charnze was that close to the Golden Boot last year and he's coming back into the team."<\/p>\n

Webster was then asked what message it sent to other clubs about the strength of his side being able to have a player of Tuivasa-Sheck's calibre at centre. \ufeff<\/p>\n

In reply, the coach revealed the simple message his new signing delivered when joining the club.<\/p>\n

"They can't have him, he's ours," he laughed.<\/p>\n

"He doesn't want to play for them, he wants to play for us and he probably had the opportunity to play for other clubs.<\/p>\n

"The day he signed he said, 'I want to play in this position for this club. I don't want to disrupt Charnze with what he's doing, I don't want to disrupt the club. I want to win a competition'.<\/p>\n
