Tim Tszyu<\/a> suffered the first loss of his professional career after an extraordinary bloodbath war with Sebastian Fundora in Las Vegas.<\/p>\n

After a fight resembling a vicious, bare-all-teeth showdown between two lions in the wild, the Australian lost the two-belt clash when the judges reached a split decision.<\/p>\n

Fundora, the 197-centimetre beanstalk from Florida, now owns the WBO and WBC super welterweight titles after withstanding the Australian superstar over 12 punishing rounds in Sin City on Sunday afternoon (AEDT).<\/p>\n

A head wound caused by a Fundora elbow in the second round left Tszyu gushing with blood for the remainder of the fight.<\/p>\n

He was asked repeatedly if he wanted to continue, but he never hesitated to plough on.<\/p>\n

His corner did their best to soak up the blood after each round, and cream was applied to the gash at every opportunity, but the flow of blood was relentless.<\/p>\n

Tszyu's vision was badly impaired by the blood, which left the 29-year-old wiping his face mid-fight repeatedly.<\/p>\n

Fundora dealt with a \ufeffheavily bleeding nose and mouth from early in the fight, but Tszyu was far more hindered by blood.<\/p>\n

The two warriors had blood splashed all over their supreme physiques as a captivated crowd cheered and roared at the famous T-Mobile Arena.<\/p>\n

"\ufeffI'm a throwback fighter. I couldn't see, but all credit belongs to the man who won tonight," Tszyu said in the ring.<\/p>\n

"These things happen. The momentum was rolling and I was swinging hard … and then boom, you are blinded completely.<\/p>\n

"This is boxing, this is part of the sport.<\/p>\n

"We will bounce back. I showed up no matter what, I always bring the fight.<\/p>\n

"I was given one week. No excuses \u2014 I will fight whoever whenever.<\/p>\n

Tszyu\ufeff had agreed to take on Fundora after his original opponent, American Keith Thurman, withdrew due to injury.<\/p>\n

The son of boxing legend Kostya Tszyu accepted the fight on just 12 days' notice.\ufeff<\/p>\n

One judge voted 116-112 in favour of Tszyu, but the other cards read 116-112 and 115-113 in favour of Fundora.<\/p>\n
