{"id":380616,"date":"2024-03-30T15:21:10","date_gmt":"2024-03-30T16:21:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sportinfo.pro\/?p=380616"},"modified":"2024-03-30T17:01:53","modified_gmt":"2024-03-30T17:01:53","slug":"alabama-prep-coach-chris-smelley-safe-after-kayaking-incident","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sportinfo.pro\/?p=380616","title":{"rendered":"Alabama prep coach Chris Smelley safe after kayaking incident"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Talk about terrifying.<\/p>\n<div class=\"school-info\" data-v-0e4cf64a=\"\">\n<div class=\"name\" data-v-0e4cf64a=\"\">\n<p class=\"light\">Sylacauga High School (Ala.) coach &#8212; and former NFL player &#8212; Chris Smelley went fishing a kayak in Florida.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>He did not return, sparking fear.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sylacauganews.com\/local\/sylacauga-head-football-coach-chris-smelley-missing-in-gulf-search-underway\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Per Sylacauga.com:<\/a><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cOur thoughts and prayers are with Coach Smelley and his beautiful family along with all search and rescue personnel as they look for him during this time,\u201d said Dr. Michele Eller, Superintendent of Sylacauga City Schools.<\/p>\n<p>Smelley and his wife have four children and were on spring break vacation.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>This story has a happy ending, though, as Smelley was located on his kayak.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">WOW!!
