B\ufeffrisbane<\/a> secured their second win of the year on Friday night, dominating the Cowboys<\/a> 38-12 in a rain-affected Queensland derby at Suncorp Stadium.<\/p>\n

Despite missing their two best players in Reece Walsh<\/a> and Payne Haas<\/a>, last year's grand finalists ran away with the victory in the second half, with the likes of Adam Reynolds and Ezra Mam lifting in their absence.<\/p>\n

Another player who shined for the Broncos was fill-in fullback Tristan Sailor<\/a>, who finished with an impressive 192 run metres and five tackle breaks for the hosts.<\/p>\n

The son of club legend Wendell Sailor<\/a>, the 25-year-old had the full support of head coach Kevin Walters to go up against the previously-unbeaten Cowboys.<\/p>\n

"I think my job was to do everything I could to make the team better and that was just support and effort areas," Sailor told Nine post-game.<\/p>\n

"\ufeffI'm confident in my ability to play that role and so is Kev, so that gave me the freedom to\u00a0 play how I play. I love my yardage carries, I love to kick chase and stuff like that.<\/p>\n

"I just brought that, let Ezra be freaky and Reyno guide the team around."<\/p>\n

Sailor has had a tricky run on and off the field to date, with a stop-start run at the Dragons and limited opportunities at Red Hill leaving the speedster spending time as 18th man or in reserve grade.<\/p>\n

However, any advice from his legendary father Wendell didn't quite sink in for the fullback, who took a cheeky jab at the popular dual international after the match while speaking to Broncos icon, Darren Lockyer<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\ufeff<\/strong>"He did call me today, but you know dad – he just talks, talks and talks, so it was in one ear and out the other," Sailor said.<\/p>\n

"He was very good and the legacy of it, knowing that he played in this jersey, you [Lockyer] played in this jersey and Kev did too.<\/p>\n

"That was more the message that I took, we're not only playing for ourselves but all the past players and fans that showed up tonight."<\/p>\n
