NBA<\/a> villain Draymond Green<\/a> is back in the spotlight for an ugly on-court incident involving Patty Mills<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In the first quarter, the Miami Heat<\/a> star was caught off-guard when Green wrapped his arm around the Australian's neck.<\/p>\n

The Golden State Warriors<\/a> player found himself tangled \u2013 intentionally or otherwise \u2013 after Mills set up a defensive screen.<\/p>\n

Green dragged Mills' head back and he fell to the ground, at which point the whistle blew.<\/p>\n

"Boy oh boy, did he grab Patty Mills? It looked like by the throat here," said one commentator.<\/p>\n

"Pulls him back by the throat there."<\/p>\n

The commentator added, "Yikes! Dangerous play by Draymond Green."<\/p>\n

Green pleaded with the referees after being fouled before the incident was reviewed to see if it warranted an upgrade to a flagrant foul. He escaped further sanctioning.<\/p>\n

In Thursday's match against the Orlando Magic, Green was ejected \ufeffless than four minutes into the match after two technical fouls<\/p>\n

The 34-year-old has already served two suspensions this year, copping a five-match ban after putting Minnesota Timberwolves' Rudy Gober in a headlock.<\/p>\n

He was banned for 12 matches for a "repeated history of unsportsmanlike acts" after his swinging arm hit Phoenix Suns centre Jusuf Nurkic in the head and neck.<\/p>\n

Green is the NBA's bona fide villain with 21 ejections, putting him second on the all-time list behind Rasheed Wallace on 29.<\/p>\n
