Indigenous legend Larry Corowa has urged Latrell Mitchell<\/a> to be more of a team player to help the Rabbitohs<\/a> out of their early season slump.<\/p>\n

Like his teammates, Mitchell has had a patchy start to the new season, with the club at the bottom of the ladder after three rounds.<\/p>\n

But Corowa believes the star fullback needs to change his mindset to get the Bunnies back on track.<\/p>\n

"Latrell doesn't do himself any favours – he just needs to concentrate on being the class player he is and do everything to win for the team," the former Balmain and Test great said.<\/p>\n

"He needs to let his football do the talking – stop looking at the big screen, stop intimidating.<\/p>\n

"Be a team player and everyone will love the new Latrell. Put your head down, train harder, simple\u2026 and the results will come."<\/p>\n

As the first true Indigenous superstar in rugby league, Corowa is well aware of the pressures on Mitchell – the highest profile Aboriginal player in the game at the moment.<\/p>\n

Mitchell was booed every time he touched the ball by the Roosters<\/a> crowd at Allianz Stadium last Friday night, probably partly because he was a former Rooster and partly because of the swearing on air controversy he was involved in the previous week.<\/p>\n

"I didn't have many haters back in the day – they were pretty much all good supporters from every team," Corowa said.<\/p>\n

"But when I did cop some stick it just made me more determined to try harder and Latrell needs to take the same approach."<\/p>\n

NRL RULE COSTS TIGERS $200K\ufeff<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The NRL's strict rules and regulations governing licensing are likely to cost the Tigers<\/a> a $200,000 sponsor.<\/p>\n

A courier company was set to take up the club's sleeve sponsorship but pulled out due to a conflict of interest with another sponsor.<\/p>\n

But a successful donut company franchise – Franky and Co – agreed to jump in and take up the sleeve sponsorship – only to be told they are likely to be barred due to the NRL<\/a>'s rules.<\/p>\n

"Apparently once the final jersey is sent to the NRL, it cannot be changed," an insider told Wide World of Sports<\/em>.<\/p>\n

"It's a pity because the club could have got some good coin and now it's not going to happen."<\/p>\n
