Lewis Hamilton's<\/a> former physiotherapist Angela Cullen has made her first public appearance since splitting with the seven-time F1<\/a> world champion.<\/p>\n

Hamilton and Cullen enjoyed seven years working together but parted ways at the start of the 2023 season.<\/p>\n

Cullen, who played hockey for New Zealand as a teenager and into her early twenties, said she would be taking on new challenges.<\/p>\n

Now, she's popped up in another motorsport series \u2013 IndyCar.<\/p>\n

At the non-championship Thermal Club event, Cullen was spotted for the first time working with Kiwi compatriot Marcus Armstrong.<\/p>\n

The Chip Ganassi Racing driver is in his first season of IndyCar as a full-time driver and said he has already noticed a difference working with the high-performance coach.<\/p>\n

"She's a Kiwi as well, so we linked up over the off-season and so far so good," said Armstrong.<\/p>\n

"I've gained a bit of weight, finally. These cars are animals to drive so you've got to be in top form to be able to wrestle it around.\u00a0<\/p>\n

"She's been a great help to me and we're just trying to progress through to win some races."<\/p>\n

Armstrong failed to finish the season-opener in St Petersburg but was running competitively on the fringe of the top 10 until his untimely exit.<\/p>\n

At the $1 Million Challenge race, he wound up fifth and pocketed $76,640 for the result.<\/p>\n

Armstrong said Cullen's influence is all about finding whatever edge he can over his rivals.<\/p>\n

"It's the one-percenters in this sport because everyone is at such a high level," he explained.<\/p>\n

"Being a good physical form as well is obviously a part of it, that's not a secret, but it's the little things.\u00a0<\/p>\n

"It's how to get your mind on top of it all and eliminate those distractions and get those results."<\/p>\n

Armstrong, 23, was part of Ferrari's driver academy and testing with the F1 team during his time in F2.\u00a0<\/p>\n
