J\ufeffack McVeigh's insane last-minute buzzer beater saw the Tasmania JackJumpers<\/a> record a dramatic NBL<\/a> victory to keep their title hopes alive against Melbourne United<\/a>.<\/p>\n

With less than two seconds remaining on the clock and United in front by one point, \ufeffMcVeigh went for broke and launched the ball from long range, sinking a massive three-pointer to lift the JackJumpers over the line 93-91.<\/p>\n

McVeigh's side was gifted the opportunity after Matthew Dellavedova<\/a> turned the ball over with five seconds remaining, but nobody could have expected that type of finish.<\/p>\n

McVeigh's teammates flocked to the court after his late heroics and speaking post-match, the 27-year-old was lost for words as Tassie went up 2-1 in the best-of-five final.<\/p>\n

"I'm damn emotional," he said.<\/p>\n

"I just want one more man, I want to win this bad, come on.<\/p>\n

"I just wanted to shoot it baby, I just want one more. I'm gonna have to go home and relax for a little bit, text my loved ones, them hopefully talk some trash and bring my head back down and we go home to get this thing done.<\/p>\n

After a resounding 23-point loss in the first \ufeffmatch of the championship series, the JackJumpers have bounced back with two narrow wins and are on the cusp of a maiden NBL title and the state's first triumph since the Launceston Casino City in 1981.<\/p>\n
