B\ufeffrisbane<\/a>'s premiership hopes have been dealt a couple of setbacks early in the year, with a number of high-profile stars on the sidelines.<\/p>\n

Reece Walsh<\/a> and Payne Haas<\/a> are both set to miss at least a month with injuries, while Adam Reynolds<\/a> missed the side's round three loss to Penrith with a knee issue.<\/p>\n

Walsh and Haas are only short or medium-term setbacks for the Broncos, while skipper Reynolds should be back in the next fortnight. <\/p>\n

However, \ufeffthe Broncos have also lost a number of big names from their grand final side last year and according to Brad Fittler<\/a>, the impact has been on full display in 2024.<\/p>\n

"All of a sudden, the team is looking nothing like the team that went for a huge run last year and did so well at the back-end," he said on Nine's Sunday Footy Show.<\/em><\/p>\n

"I don't think they have rebounded off the grand final as everyone thought they would.<\/p>\n

"They need to make sure they are in the semis at the end of the year.<\/p>\n

"It's going to be a bit harder than they think."<\/p>\n

Sitting with one win from their opening three matches and slated for a clash with unbeaten rivals North Queensland in round four, Kevin Walters<\/a> will be starting to sweat on results as expectations weigh heavily on the team at Red Hill.<\/p>\n

But according to \ufeffAndrew Johns<\/a>, there's little cause for concern for Brisbane, who remain a genuine force in the NRL title race.<\/p>\n
