Api Koriosau<\/a> was at his brilliant best against the Sharks<\/a> on Saturday night, and did it while battling a nasty case of gastro.<\/p>\n

Coach Benji Marshall<\/a> made the revelation while speaking to media following the Tigers' sensational 32-6 win at Leichhardt Oval.<\/a><\/p>\n

Marshall said it was "special" to be playing back in front of the parochial home fans.<\/p>\n

"Off the back last week and our performance to turn it around like we did tonight and it is all credit to the boys because without the effort," Marshall said.<\/p>\n

"A lot of people don't know but this guy next to me was battling heavy gastro before the game and could hardly walk and had no energy.<\/p>\n

"And to punch out what he did in the game shows how much it meant to him to his teammates and that's why he is the skipper."<\/p>\n

Koroisau said his teammates were able to give him plenty of chances to catch his breath in breaks in play.<\/p>\n

"I definitely didn't feel great," Koroisau said.<\/p>\n

"I think the boys just playing the way they were made the game a lot easier. A lot of spaces for me to catch my breath."<\/p>\n

Marshall interjected at this point and said Koroisau was "just being modest".<\/p>\n

"He was very good. It was incredibly gutsy and that's what I just said to the boys in there \u2013 that's the standards that we have set.<\/p>\n

"And to be able to do that and execute. Like they are a red hot side and the game plan was probably executed to a T."<\/p>\n
