The NSW Waratahs have made an emphatic statement on their Super Rugby Women's title hunt<\/a> \ufeffby belting the defending champion Fijian Drua 62-21 in Lautoka on Saturday.<\/p>\n

The Waratahs won the first four titles since the competition's inception in 2018 but the Drua's arrival in 2022 changed everything.<\/p>\n

The Drua have gone back to back in their first two seasons, making NSW's winning margin at Churchill Park all the more astonishing.<\/p>\n

"\ufeffBut that score does not resemble how hard that game was," Waratahs captain Piper Duck said on Stan Sport.<\/p>\n

"That was tough. It was a really physical game and the way they play, the offloads, the way they played with such intensity, they really put us under the pump today. But obviously, I'm really happy we got on top.<\/p>\n

"Definitely massive positives. We learnt a lot from that around patience and also playing our game."<\/p>\n

NSW scored 10 tries in total with wingers Maya Stewart and Desiree Miller both bagging braces.<\/p>\n

Georgina Friedrichs, Bridie O'Gorman, Katie Leaney, Brittany Merlo, Sky Churchill and Eva Karpani also crossed for the Waratahs, who are now 2-0 as the Drua drop to 1-1.<\/p>\n
