Sydney Roosters<\/a> champion Jared Waerea-Hargreaves<\/a> will become the 50th NRL player to notch up 300 first grade games against the Rabbitohs on Friday night.<\/p>\n

With 299 games across a brief stint at Manly and 15 seasons with the Triccolours, Roosters legend Brad Fittler<\/a> was in awe of Waerea-Hargreaves' achievement.<\/p>\n

"Jared has done it since 2010 and been part of four grand finals and won three \u2026 he's done it over a long time," he told Wide World of Sports' Freddy & the Eighth<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n

"I watch Lindsay Collins underneath him continue to improve \u2014 what Jared has left at the club is something that Adrian Morley started. He's driven it through the whole club.<\/p>\n

"For a period of over two years, they didn't win a game without him \u2014 I think he missed out on six or seven games and they lost every one of those games. He's put himself out there every week to get chased and to get challenged."<\/p>\n

Fittler \ufeffconsidered Waerea-Hargreaves among the likes of Luke Ricketson, Boyd Cordner, Anthony Minichiello and James Tedesco as the five best Roosters of the modern era.<\/p>\n

"From the point of view of not just people that epitomise the club, but they have done it over a long time and raised the level. Whatever they have brought to the club, they are the people that have had the best influence on the Roosters since I've started," he said.<\/p>\n

Immortal Andrew Johns<\/a> also paid tribute to the prop on this week's episode of Wide World of Sports' Immortal Behaviour<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n

"To play that 300 games as a front-rower is an unbelievable achievement considering how hard the game is. It's an amazing effort," he said.<\/p>\n

"He's a lovely bloke. \ufeffEvery time you see him off the field he has a smile on his face."<\/p>\n

Asked where Waerea-Hargreaves sits amongst the league's greatest-ever front-rowers, Johns was full of praise.<\/p>\n

"Going back to the early 90s you've got (Glenn) Lazarus, Petero (Civoniceva), (Shane) Webcke, Paul Harragan, Matthew Scott, Adrian Morley, and I'm probably leaving some top guys out, but he would be right up there with them," he said.<\/p>\n

"And then the modern-day players \u2014 Josh Papali'i, (Joseph) Tapine, Addin Fonua-Blake, Payne Haas \u2014 he's right up there in that group."<\/p>\n

Johns also ranked the 35-year-old in his top-five Roosters players of all time.<\/p>\n

"Freddy's (Fittler) there, then you go right back to Arthur Beetson and Ronnie Coote and those types of players," he said.<\/p>\n

"Probably since the mid-90s it would go Freddy, Minichiello, Morley, (Craig) Fitzgibbon \u2014they'd all be there. But Jared would be in the top five for sure," he said.<\/p>\n
