I\ufeffn bad news for Port Adelaide fans, star midfielder Jason Horne Francis has been ruled out of their clash against Richmond with a hamstring complaint.<\/p>\n

Horne-Francis pulled up sore during the Power's Friday training session\ufeff, with the club quick to sideline him ahead of Sunday's clash at the MCG.<\/p>\n

The Power will be celebrating club champion Travis Boak's 350th game, but they'll be without Horne-Francis to face the winless Tigers.<\/p>\n

\ufeffThere are fears that the 20-year-old may have suffered a more serious hamstring strain, but the club is yet to clarify the timeline for his return.<\/p>\n

Port Adelaide assistant coach Josh Carr shed further light onto the strange injury.<\/p>\n

"He came out of the game (round one against West Coast) with a little bit of tightness," Carr told SEN on Friday.<\/p>\n

"I think it was Tuesday at training, he came up and thought he had something that was a little bit tight but thought he'd be okay.<\/p>\n

"Today we had a training session and he just didn't quite get up for it. We had him scanned and he has a minor hamstring strain which we think won't hold him out for too long."<\/p>\n

Carr couldn't confirm any timeline for the young star's return, explaining that they'll make a call at the start of next week for where to next.\ufeff<\/p>\n

"I think we'll get more of an idea early next week, but there's a chance he could be ready to play next week. We've got to see how it goes over the weekend," Carr said<\/p>\n
