Darren Coleman's status as Waratahs<\/a> coach is looking increasingly shaky after \ufeffNSW fell to yet another heartbreaking loss in Super Rugby Pacific on Saturday.<\/p>\n

Fijian Drua supersub Kemu Valetini – the older brother of Wallabies star Rob<\/a> – was \ufeffthe latest executioner, nailing the winning drop goal in the ninth minute of extra time in a 39-36 golden point thriller in steamy Lautoka.<\/p>\n

Tane Edmed \ufeffhad earlier missed a drop goal attempt that would have won the match – a fortnight after the Waratahs five-eighth missed a penalty that would have delivered victory over the Highlanders in Sydney.<\/a><\/p>\n

The 1-4 Waratahs have now lost their last three games by a combined margin of just seven points, with their only victory of the season ironically coming against the defending champion Crusaders.\ufeff<\/p>\n

"Proud of the effort, it was a slog out here today and it was a physical game with ebbs and flows," Waratahs captain Jake Gordon said on Stan Sport.<\/p>\n

"They had momentum in that first half, we came out in the second half and we won the confrontation battle up front and started to play some good footy.<\/p>\n

The Waratahs led 10-0 early before the Drua blitzed back to hold a seemingly commanding 26-10 advantage at halftime.\ufeff<\/p>\n

Olympic sevens gold medallist Iosefo Masi scored a hat trick for the Drua and was named man of the match.<\/p>\n

"We've just got to tighten up a few things. We're in the fight," Gordon said.<\/p>\n

"We defended well for the majority of the game even though they're real dangerous off transition attack. We need to find ways to win the game, though."<\/p>\n
