C\ufeffollingwood<\/a> legend Tony Shaw has urged his beloved Magpies to look within to rectify their 0-3 start, after their 15-point loss to St Kilda on Thursday night<\/a>.<\/p>\n

It is the first time in the 21st century that the Pies have started their season 0-3, and just the second time ever in the last 29 years.<\/p>\n

\ufeffThe last time Collingwood began a season 0-3 was back in 1999.<\/p>\n

In that year, the Pies would finish last on the ladder (16th), winning just four games for the entire season.\ufeff<\/p>\n

It rings immediate alarm bells for \ufeffCollingwood, with the pressure continuing to mount after a horror start.<\/p>\n

Shaw, who captained the Pies to their 1990\ufeff flag, knows all too well what it feels like to suffer a premiership hangover, with his Pies missing the finals in the 1991 season.<\/p>\n

"Hopefully they can at least play finals in 2024," Shaw told 9News Melbourne on Friday.<\/p>\n

The Magpies legend says he holds concern for their finals chances, with the three losses already a major blow to their top four hopes\ufeff.<\/p>\n

\ufeff"They've got Brisbane next, to go 0-4, historically says it (winning a flag) can't be done, but hopefully I'm wrong," Shaw said.<\/p>\n

\"Collingwood<\/p>\n

"They've got their problems and they've got to take responsibility for them.\ufeff"<\/p>\n

Meantime, Kane Cornes has also slammed Collingwood's lack of effort.<\/p>\n

"The word 'soft' is synonymous with AFL football. I would never say that an AFL player is soft that crosses the white line \u2013 but they were timid," Cornes said on SEN radio on Friday.<\/p>\n

\"Pies<\/p>\n

"That is about as big a criticism as you can get as a team. You can go back and you can watch a significant number of efforts where Collingwood players were jumpy and timid.<\/p>\n

"They didn't really want to have contact last night \u2026 they didn't want to feel the heat."<\/p>\n
