Rawalpindi:\u00a0PCB Challengers beat PCB Dynamites by seven runs in a final of the National Triangular T20 Women\u2019s Cricket Championship at the Pindi Cricket Stadium.<\/strong><\/p>\n

PCB\u00a0Challengers remained undefeated throughout the tournament. They lifted the glittering trophy and also bagged\u00a0PKR1million as the winning prize. PCB Dynamites had to settle for a PKR500,000 runners-up cash prize.<\/p>\n

Dynamites had to chase a target of 134 but fell runs short and\u00a0eventually finished their quota of 20 overs at 126 for six. Challengers’ bowlers looked sharp and agile in the field. The win was set up by\u00a0a fine spell of two wickets for 21 runs by Aroob Shah, ensuring a second consecutive title for her side.<\/p>\n

Aimen Anwar took one wicket for 23 runs in her four overs, Fatima Sana also took one wicket as she provided adequate all-round support to her side following her unbeaten 24-run contribution with the bat in the PCB Challengers innings.<\/p>\n

Opener Nahida Khan top-scored for the Dynamites with 39 off 37 balls which included three fours and two sixes while Kainat Imtiaz scored an unbeaten 32-off 28 balls. Hafsa Khalid made a 20 which included three fours.<\/p>\n

Earlier, Challengers posted 133 for seven in their allotted 20 overs. After losing the crucial wicket of Pakistan captain and ace batter Bismah Maroof (18) to a runout, PCB Challengers mixed caution with aggression as they accumulated a competitive total.<\/p>\n

Kainat Hafeez\u00a0top-scored with 31 off 27 balls, her innings included three fours and one six. Fatima faced 22 balls for her 24 which included a six and a four.<\/p>\n

Subhana Tariq was the pick of the bowlers for Dynamites, picking three for 37 while\u00a0Ramin Shameem and Nashra Sandhu took a wicket apiece.<\/p>\n

Challengers’ Kainat Hafeez was rewarded player of the match for his top batting performance.<\/p>\n

Kainat Imtiaz of Dynamites for giving an all-round performance throughout the tournament (111 runs and three wickets) was adjudged as the player-of-the-tournament and awarded PKR50,000.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
