Collingwood<\/a> has suffered their third consecutive loss to open their premiership defence, going to down St Kilda<\/a> by 15 points on Thursday night at the MCG.<\/p>\n

It is the first time in the 21st century that the Pies have started their season 0-3, and just the second time ever in the last 29 years.<\/p>\n

\ufeffThe last time Collingwood began a season 0-3 was back in 1999.<\/p>\n

In that year, the Pies would finish last on the ladder (16th), winning just four games for the entire season.\ufeff<\/p>\n

It rings immediate alarm bells for \ufeffCollingwood, with the pressure continuing to mount after a horror start.<\/p>\n

It also means that when Collingwood meets Brisbane in their grand final rematch on Thursday night at the Gabba, both sides will enter the game winless.<\/p>\n

North Melbourne champion David King slammed the Pies' lack of interest around the ground, declaring that they look scared near the ball.<\/p>\n

"They look jittery," King told Fox Footy post-match.<\/p>\n

"They don't look anywhere near as tough as what we saw last year. Some of their better players need to put their hand up and \ufeffcorrect immediately."<\/p>\n

Meantime, there was scrutiny surrounding a late non-call from the boundary umpire, when St Kilda small forward Jack Higgins booted one of the goals of the season\ufeff.<\/p>\n

The ball looked to be out of bounds, but Higgins, who kicked four majors for the night, managed to snag a high-flying kick that dropped in for a goal right on the line.\ufeff<\/p>\n

Ross Lyon's men were able to choke Collingwood full game press, holding them to just 12 goals for the match.<\/p>\n

Nas\ufeffiah Wanganeen-Milera starred for St Kilda, amassing 32 disposals, more impressively at 81 per cent efficiency.<\/p>\n

Teammate and half-back flanker Brad Hill\ufeff lauded the 21-year-old defender's clinical effort.<\/p>\n

"Pretty silky, it's the Wanganeen genes there," Hill told Seven on Wanganeen-Milera's performance.<\/p>\n

It wasn't all good news for the Saints, however with friendly-fire that saw him left unconscious \ufeffin the first quarter.<\/p>\n

The club confirmed that the 30-year-old had been taken to hospital after the mid-air clash with teammate Zaine Cordy.<\/p>\n

It's the second major concussion Wood has suffered in his career, the other in 2016 when he was playing for North Melbourne.\ufeff<\/p>\n
