Melbourne Storm<\/a> legend Cameron Smith<\/a> has accidentally revealed Cameron Munster<\/a>'s groin injury might be far worse than first feared.<\/p>\n

Munster has been sidelined by a groin injury he suffered during pre-season, which he then re-aggravated when he slipped in the shower<\/a> on a team trip in Fiji.<\/p>\n

Smith made the revelation in a hot-mic moment while recording SEN's Captains Run<\/em> podcast with former Bronco Denan Kemp.<\/p>\n

"It's a bit concerning the Munster thing, hey," Smith said.<\/p>\n

"They have no idea \u2013 they actually have no idea when he is going to be okay. He can hardly run.<\/p>\n

\"Cameron<\/p>\n

"The last I heard, which was before last week's game, they (were) just like 'mate, it's a day-by-day thing'."<\/p>\n

The audio was accidentally published when the podcast was released. It was hastily removed, but not before the clip was circulated on social media.\ufeff<\/p>\n

Munster was named in the Storm's extended round one side to face the Panthers but obviously didn't play. His name has not been seen since.<\/p>\n

In an interview on Nine's post-game coverage of the Storm's win over the Panthers, Munster joked the root of the problem was "old hips", but hinted he could be out for some time.<\/p>\n

"The physios haven't really given me a timeframe and today I was pretty sore," he said.<\/p>\n

"I'm pretty restricted, I can only use a band at the moment and can't really get out of a jog. I can't really put my finger on it, we did scans and everything."<\/p>\n
