P\ufeffort Adelaide<\/a> champion Travis Boak<\/a> will reach a pretty special milestone against Richmond at the MCG on Sunday, when he plays game 350 in the teal, white and black.<\/p>\n

Despite fears that he would hang up the boots last season after the Power's straight-sets exit from the finals, Boak says he was always going to be here in 2024.<\/p>\n

\ufeffHowever, he didn't sign a one-year deal to simply reach his 350-game milestone.<\/p>\n

Instead, he's hungry to help Port Adelaide win their second AFL premiership, 20 years on from their 2004 triumph.<\/p>\n

"It was more about 'how much more can I give to this footy club and this group?' and I felt like I had something left to help this club and playing group go forward to reach that ultimate goal," Boak said at Alberton on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

"We want to bring back that premiership cup to this footy club and this fanbase.<\/p>\n

"I wanted to be part of that and still felt I had more to give."\ufeff<\/p>\n

The Torquay boy, who was drafted with pick five in 2006, reflected on his time in the game.<\/p>\n

"It's been such an honour to represent this footy club for such a long time," he said.<\/p>\n

"350 games sounds like a lot, but it doesn't feel like a lot. It's all blended in."<\/p>\n

Back in 2012, Boak felt a pull back home to Geelong, as the Power struggled to make their mark on the league.<\/p>\n

"There was a big decision to make," Boak said.<\/p>\n

\ufeff"And it was one that took a fair bit of time to process all the information. (I could) go back home, be close to family and be part of the Geelong footy club, which is a great club and was going well at the time. We weren't going so well.<\/p>\n

"But there was just so much here that myself, Robbie (Gray), Jacko (Jackson Trengove), a lot of players I didn't want to walk away from.<\/p>\n

"We were well entrenched in this club to try and move it forward, and that's what we wanted to do.<\/p>\n

"In the end that was why I wanted to stay: to help make this club better again and get back up the ladder.<\/p>\n

"Mum and dad raised me to be a loyal person and that's certainly a value I've tried to \ufeffhold pretty close."<\/p>\n

Boak will become just the 23rd V\/AFL player to reach the 350 game milestone\ufeff, with Power assistant coach Tyson Goldsack lauding his efforts in the teal, white and black.<\/p>\n

"What an achievement and what a guy," Goldsack said on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

"Just the way he goes about his business is elite.<\/p>\n

"The one the best I've seen, so it's a great milestone for him."<\/p>\n

\ufeffBoak however, just wants to get on with Sunday's match, adding just another game to the growing tally.<\/p>\n

He'll be hoping to help Port record their second win of 2024.\ufeff<\/p>\n
