League legends were left impressed by the culture at the NRL<\/a>'s newest club after revelations of a special tribute designed by Dolphins<\/a> players.<\/p>\n

The Redcliffe team will sport the phrase "TG 13" on the left sleeve of their jerseys for the remainder of the season.<\/p>\n

It's a nod to injured lock Tom Gilbert, who will spend the entire 2024 campaign in the rehab rooms.<\/p>\n

Gilbert missed half of last season after being forced into surgery on a busted shoulder following the State of Origin opener.<\/p>\n

\"Dolphins<\/p>\n

He was on track to return this year, until rupturing an anterior cruciate ligament in his knee during a pre-season game<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\ufeffWhen notified of the "TG 13" tribute on Wide World of Sports' QLDER<\/em><\/a>, Darren Lockyer said it pointed to a strong team culture.<\/p>\n

"\ufeffObviously (Gilbert) is hurting," Lockyer said.<\/p>\n

"\ufeffI went through one long-term injury and that was hard, so to come back from one and get another straight away… he is mentally tough, but he's going to need his teammates to help him through it.<\/p>\n

\"Origin<\/p>\n

"So for them to show that sort of support\ufeff, it does help Tom, but when he comes back into the squad it helps the comradery with them."<\/p>\n

Fellow league legend Wally Lewis called it "wonderful support" from the Dolphins.<\/p>\n
