A\ufeffustralian boxer<\/a> Tim Tszyu<\/a>'s second chance at a Las Vegas debut has been thrown into turmoil.<\/p>\n

Tszyu's American opponent Keith Thurman has suffered a biceps injury while training and withdrawn from the March 31 (AEDT) bout.<\/p>\n

Tszyu, 29, was putting his WBO junior middleweight belt on the line.<\/p>\n

It was January 2023 when Tszyu's much-hyped Vegas debut was cancelled when division champion Jermell Charlo\ufeff broke a hand in training.<\/p>\n

Tszyu has since assumed the WBO title and beaten Tony Harrison, Carlos Ocampo, and Brian Mendoza all in convincing fashion to maintain his unbeaten record from 24 fights.<\/p>\n

Reports out of the US claim \ufeffTszyu will now fight Sebastian Fundora on March 31 instead.<\/p>\n

It's yet to be confirmed whether that fight will be for Tszyu's belt.\ufeff<\/p>\n

Fundora, 26, boasts a 20-1-1 record and held the WBC interim light middleweight title for a few months before losing it last year.<\/p>\n

Fundora is known as "The Towering Inferno" and stands at a daunting 197 centimetres tall. Tszyu is 175cm.<\/p>\n

Tszyu's Australian promoters No Limit Boxing confirmed the Thurman news in an email to Wide World of Sports, but say Fundora is not yet locked in.<\/p>\n

"Please be advised that that Keith Thurman is out of the fight against Tim Tszyu," the email read.<\/p>\n

"A replacement is being sought with Sebastian Fundora the front runner to replace Thurman, but deal not done yet.\ufeff"<\/p>\n

No Limit's George Rose will front media on Tuesday to provide an update on the card.<\/p>\n

If a new opponent can't be found for Tszyu, the Aussie's second shot at Vegas stardom will be called off.<\/p>\n

\ufeffWhile considered one of – if not the – best junior middleweights on the planet, Tszyu has only fought outside Australia once.<\/p>\n
