C\ufeffaroline Wilson<\/a> has slammed suggestions from the Sydney Swans president that the AFL grand final should be revamped into a best-of-three game series.<\/p>\n

It comes after Sydney<\/a> president Andrew Pridham<\/a> renewed calls for a best-of-three grand final series<\/a> \u2014 arguing that the AFL is missing out on a $40 million revenue raiser by persisting with its current grand final arrangement.\ufeff<\/p>\n

Former Collingwood president Eddie McGuire laughed off Pridham's suggestion<\/a> on Nine's Eddie and Jimmy podcast<\/em>.\ufeff<\/p>\n

Wilson has backed McGuire's comments, despite Sydney and GWS looking likely finals suitors, both undefeated to start their season.\ufeff<\/p>\n

"Get over yourself, the grand final is at the MCG," Wilson said on Nine's Footy Classified<\/em> on Monday night.<\/p>\n

\"The<\/p>\n

"What a brilliant competition to have those two clubs (Swans and Giants) playing at the best stadium in the land."<\/p>\n

Wilson also shut down suggestions that if the Swans and Giants were to qualify for the last Saturday in September,\ufeff the travel would be more exhausting that the grand final itself.<\/p>\n

"Sydney to Melbourne, last time I did it, it was a one hour flight," she said.<\/p>\n

"It's not going to happen."<\/p>\n

\"Eddie<\/p>\n

Jimmy Bartel<\/a> also agreed that multiple grand finals would dilute the spectacle.<\/p>\n

"If you've got no concerns for the quality of the product, yeah, play three (grand finals)," he said on Eddie and Jimmy.<\/em><\/p>\n

"\ufeff(The quality) would be absolutely trash."<\/p>\n
