New Wests Tigers<\/a> chief \ufeffS\ufeffhane Richardson<\/a> has leapt to the defence of Benji Marshall<\/a>, slamming the "bullshit" rumours about the rookie coach.<\/p>\n

Prior to the club legend's first official game in charge at NRL<\/a> level, \ufeffquestion marks were raised regarding Marshall's commitment and leadership style, with claims he wasn't a '24\/7 coach' like others in the competition.<\/p>\n

Marshall refuted the suggestions prior to the Tigers' round two loss against the Raiders, claiming he is "the first person in the building" each day before training.<\/p>\n

Speaking on Nine's 100% Footy<\/em> on Monday night, the Tigers chief executive threw his support behind Marshall and praised him for his efforts since replacing Tim Sheens.<\/p>\n

"He wants him and his players to have a family life, it's a good thing not a bad thing.<\/p>\n

Senior reporter Michael Chammas also revealed internal concerns \ufeffthat Marshall had been slandered by former recruitment boss Scott Fulton, who was sacked by the Tigers earlier this year.<\/p>\n

Marshall's first-up result as head coach saw the Tigers defeated 32-12 on the road against the Raiders on Saturday afternoon.<\/p>\n
